My first post this one
I want to make a flashing LED to attach to the top of an antenna for a GSM device on my company vehicle, and need some advice.
I have seen them to buy for mobiles, but I want someting for a fixed antenna?
The GSM antenna on the car is for a GPS/GSM tracking system installed by my employer.
It has a GPS receiver and antenna to receive the vehicles location, then sends an SMS message using a GSM car phone, as far as I know.
I have no way of knowing when the tracking device transmits (when I am being watched) so that is why I want an LED on top of the aerial, that is just about visible from inside the car.
LED's I have seen for mobiles look like a coil and one component maybe?
Any ideas?
