New member here... I've been searching and reading this forum for about a month and just can't quite find the answers I'm looking for.

My old 1mil candlelight powered rechargeable spotlight finally bit the dust and I want something "comparable" to replace it.
I would actually like to replace it with LED.

I want a LED light that has good throw like my old halogen spotlight. I read many threads here on the forum and watched many videos on youtube. I think what I'm looking for doesn't exists. I seen a video on the Olight92 and was very impressed with the throw that light had, but I'm not at all impressed with the price.

I want something that'll throw a good beam out to about 200 yards for $100. The lights that I have considered are..

Dorcy 41-1080
Coleman 530L LED
Cyclops CYC-9WS
or
TrustFire TR-J12
Do any of these lights compare to a 1mil halogen spotlight? or am I dreaming?
Of these four lights, Would the Trustfire hold it's own against the other big LED spot lights?

I believe the Trustfire TR-J12 should throw 200 yards, although I don't have it.

An Olight M3X or SR51 can also throw 200 yards easily, and it's cheaper than the SR9x. There is no way to convert candlepower into lumens, but 800 lumen is plenty of light. Although many traditional halogen spotlights have a very focused light therefore it might out throw many LED lights.

If you really want throw, then you gotta play for an Olight SR95 or SR95UT. The older SR90 is good if you can find it for discount.

The Olight M3X peaked my interest last night while browsing. It seems to be what I am looking for. With that said, I found a thread here on the forum that compares a M3X to another light ... the FandyFire STL-V6. The price is much more in my ballpark if you add in the Pila charger and AW 18650 batteries, it comes to about $100. For a guy looking for a decent throw light at a bargain price, would the STL-V6 be my ticket?

To me it seems like that more people have problems with budget brands such as Trustfire etc.

I'd still recommend the M3X since it's from a more reputable brand.

I've been seeing some M31 and SR50 on sale in my area. I'd say they will fit your requirements as well. But the M31 has overheating issues on high mode, so it can only used for short periods.

The Fenix TK41 is also a good choice and it uses AA batteries.

That is something I think about as well. "problems down the road". I do think the M3X is want I'm looking for. I've been eyeing the Crelant 7G5-V2 U2 as well.
I do this with everything I buy, I can't just pick something and buy it, I have to spend weeks researching it and procrastinating.
