I have to say, it doesn't look all that impressive. Any chance of a side by side shot with any of those lights? Or even a standard G2 Incand?

And +1 for the BLUE comment. Looks a bit like my old G&P drop in for SF.

Nice pics though! Especially the shot of the reflecter and emitter - lovely!

Be lucky...

clipse, thanks for the shots. Nice comparrison. How do you like the G2L compared to your other cree lights? It did not look the brightest, but brightness is not everything. Does it have some other qualities that make you really like it, or do you find yourself using your other lights a lot more?

I really like this light. My main reason behind liking it so much is that I love my G2, but I HATED the P60 LA. I somehow, kept ruining mine. Which led me to believe that they were frail. The P60L fixed that and gives me longer runtime. I don't mind the bluish tint. Its noticable but not that much. The only 'cree' light I have is the L2T CE. Its not as bright but like it was said above, brightness is not everything. I also have the L2T v2.0. Again its not as bright but I like the switch design better. Why? Simple,.......simplicity. I have a feeling that the switch on the G2 will be more reliable than the Momentary/Forward clicky on the L2T. Only becuase there is less to go wrong on the G2. The Fenix switch may very well give me a lifetime of service. Its alread held up better than the switch on my E1L.

While it doesn't have 'as much' spill as other lights, it still has a good amount of spill. I can easily navigate in the dark outside with it.

I still use my other lights but, this one will deffinately have a place and use for me. :)

You cant judge those picts of the G2L as mine in real life are way brighter and has a little more spill than posted.

Did I won the lottery? Mine is almost pure white, slightly yellowish! (I have a yellow G2L, maybe it matters). BTW, I love this light! ;)

my brother had a surefire that bit the bullet somehow, don't recall the model, something non-LED, and he traded it in (warranty freebie) at the place he bought it for a G2L. he went for LED because i have been raving about my 1 watt luxeons from sportsmansguide (maybe built by nuwai,i think) and talked him into one.anyway, he LOVES it !! in fact, it's his never ending babling about his "bad-*** new LED surefire" that has me shopping for a monster thrower like a tiablo, just to put my baby brother in his place !!! but that hasn't kept me from ordering one myself from opticsplanet ( $54 shipped, but backordered). and then, as if this ain't enough, i ordered a 6Pl from batteryjunction that got here hours ago.it's just gotten dark enough to take outside and check out. best i can tell, these two are the best deals going from surefire. 80 lumens for 11-12 hours, for $55-85 shipped W/ extra batteries.........not much in the surefire line beats that.
