Hi, need a specific light type, not tied to brands, I would Love to use the ITP, but it is simply too wide at the head (this will be going into a tight machined hole)

Thoughts?

Fenix LD15.

Not only it uses a single AA, it's barely larger than a AA battery itself.

4sevens mini AA or AA2 are both listed as 0.7".

Is the light being used inside the hole or only being stored?
Most AA lights that small are a twisty so they might be hard to operate.

It's going to be stored inside a tube that diameter, so button function is not so important. HOWEVER, if there were one that also had a flashing led on the butt end, well that would be super-duper swell.
And yes, I am looking for the outside diameter of the widest part of the light.
I would like to have at least 1mm (ideally 2) around that for a gasket/vibration damping solution as well.

I'm not sure if people are not looking at specs or what but a lot of lights mentioned in this thread are larger than .73 inches in diameter.

Look at the Quark mini AA or AA2 as already mentioned.
Fenix LD15 (also mentioned above) is about .65 inches in diameter and uses one AA cell.
Check any of the 4sevens Preon2 lights are .50 to .55 inches in diameter if you don't mind using AAA batteries.
Klarus Xi X6 is .5" and uses one AAA battery
ITP A2 EOS or A3 EOS are both less than .73 inches
