Flexible battery options?

Hi, I thought one of the Boxer options allowed for use of a rechargeable battery pack or a 123 pack, so you could have back-up.
I asked, and was told this is not the case with the Boxer.
Does anyone know of a smallish HID that I can do this with?
The power of the Boxer 10W is the MINIMUM that I want, and really want rechargeables with the option to just pop in a CR123 battery pack if the rechargeables are not ready, or have run down.

HELP, please.

The Microfire K200R has an adapter to do this. Not ideal because you have to have it with you.
