Hello CPF,

I'm back again... haha

I am looking for a flood light this time. I believe you call them mule's(?).

Looking for something under $200 (hopefully), with 18650's and no step down. I want something semi-pocketable. It can be a bit larger than normal since it will go in my coveralls.

Thanks

I'm sure this won't be my last light either. :candle:

Smaller flatter reflectors are more floody than deeper larger reflectors, one of the zebralights in 18650 may work for you, about $100.

A mule on the other hand, has NO reflector, and therefore no focused beam at all. Light goes out in all directions, like a candle. I think that they are all custom made.

What do you want to do with the light? Which do you think will work better for you?

Thank you Poppy that is very helpful!

I guess based on the two definitions I would be interested in the first one. I want it for work and taking walks on the trails. Something with a low setting when I am working in a server cabinet and something with good output for the dark Canadian trails.

I am currently looking at Vinh's upcoming mod on the MM15, but I would love some other ideas please :)

Thank you very much! Take care.

I hadn't seen that light before. It's probably bigger than needed for working inside a server, but at least you won't ever say, gee I wish I had a little more light in here :)

Thanks Poppy. Do you know the name of the zebra flood light?

Hoping to hear a few more suggestions :)
Take care!

Sorry, no. One that used to be recommended was the SC600 which is now discontinued. They not too long ago changed the model numbers and models of many of their lights. I *think* they add a "F" at the end of their model numbers to indicate flood.

Certainly you'll read reviews before you make a decision.

The SC600 mkII is the new version, the F for flood means it has a frosted lens

I think its only ZL that indicates if the model if flood. Haven't seen any other lights that was declared as flood by the manufacturer. I might be wrong though

only zebra uses an F to indicate a frosted lens to make the light floodier, the regular sc600 is pretty floody.

get a zebralight from another seller

Thanks. I will take a look at other sellers of ZL's and compare with some other lights.

Can anyone recommend something other than ZL?
There has to be a monster flood light out there somewhere.

Cheers

What size? Thrunite TN35 and the Nitecore Tiny Monsters are floody? Or an Eagletac D series with an XM-L any small light with a big LED will be floody
