Sold/Expired For Sale..Titanium Bodies For EX10...

Candle Power Flashlight Forum

Help Support CPF:

Russtang, just got mine in the mail this evening, installed the light engine and o-rings and... wow! Beautifully done, feels great in my hand and I'm really digging the clip. Once again, thanks for doing this! :twothumbs

Btw, one question for all those who have this... is there a recommended lube for the piston? Can you use nyogel?

Sorry to hijack the thread Russtang...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, funny thing is, my stock piston was also a bit stiffer on the EX10 than on my D10. Since I only have nyogel on hand, I tried that on the Ti piston but I may try one of your suggestions for something a little lighter since the piston action is a bit stiff right now - not crazy stiff but I imagine it could be super-smooth. Do you also lube the section of the piston that protrudes out the back?

Btw, I'm still loving this light! I'm edc'ing it right now and it's perfect. The knurling is fantastic with good tactile feeling, I put on the crenelated bezel and I can't say enough about the clip. If Russtang ever did a Ti D10, I'd be all over that!

I would too. These bodies came out really nice, and I highly recommend them. Frankly I always thought nitecores were effective but rather plain-looking, but this goes 180 degrees. I have one of each current LED offered (had to, for 2 different versions of the titanium bodies) and I think I like the golden dragon marginally better, but it's not clear-cut.

Got mine yesterday, here is what it loooks like now before carving. I took off the knurling and smoothed out the body then did a texture on the whole light. I will post pics after I carve it too.

How did you put the texture ? Blasting of some kind ? BTW, my EX10Ti is already a very different item... Can't live without it !
