For those who have tried the new Arc LS retainer ring

How much more does it increase the battery shaking around when in the off position? The hole in the retainer is quite wide now. I mainly plan on using the Arc LS in the double AA battery pack so am debating whether to install the new retainer ring or not. Of course having the option of using the 123 pack would be nice as well.

Hi geepondy...

I installed the new retainers in two Arc 123 LS`s, and there is no rattle or shaking of the battery at all...even when you try.

I agree with Carpe...The same level of quiet with the new retainer, just easier to turn on with the 123 battery pack.

The new retainer works great with both the CR123 and AA batteries. no worries!
