It's nylon and holds the light and 2 extra 123's (Great for those who carry the 6P/M2 w/P61 bulb!). Looks like it will fit the 6P/Scorpion type lights. I don't know how to put pictures on this thing yet so I scanned it onto a subdomain on my webpage:

Looks pretty nice, from what I could see. I went to the website for the product using the link you provided, hoping to get a better look at it. The message for the pouch came up 'photo not currently available'. #&*%!!

This is something I'm very much interested in, but I'd like to hear from someone who has one. I have 2 or 3 different pouches for my 6P, including one that has room for an extra set of batteries, but I prefer the more secure, compact and non-moving SF factory nylon and velcro holster. I keep waiting for SureFire to make a similar holster for the E2; it's just a bit big for carrying in my pants pockets; and then there is the embarassing discovery during a staff meeting that your SF has turned on in your pocket, and is generating a *lot* of heat (Yes, that actually happened to me, much to my co-worker's amusement. And it was only my 3P, but it got pretty damn hot!)

So, anyone who gets one of these, please give us a report. TIA

I have a 6P and the Gall's HALO holster. If you have the old-style 6P (the round bezel, not the anti-roll one), it's a great fit, even with the end unscrewed enough to completely disengage the tailcap switch.

I got the holster from my friend, who bought it for his newer-style 6P, with the anti-roll bezel. He gave me the holster because his light didn't fit, and he knew mine did, because we tried the holster on my light there in the Gall's showroom, not knowing that the new and old 6Ps had form factors that were that much different.

Thanks for your information on the Galls holster. I ordered one today.

I really like having a space for extra batteries. It makes you wonder why SureFire hasn't thought of this (yet!).

The Galls HALO light itself looks pretty nice for the money, but I'm going to stick to the old standard: the SureFire, at least until someone makes a light smaller and brighter than the E2, with a longer burn time, focusing textured finish reflector and HA finish. It'll probably be awhile...

The holster designed for the H.A.L.O. light from Galls arrived yesterday. It is a *perfect* fit for my older (round bezel) SF 6P. Workmanship is very, very good, with fairly heavy nylon, and some padding as well. The holster uses a snap, rather than the Velcro found on almost every other nylon holster. I've worn out several Velcro equipped knife cases that I keep on my belt; to the point where they wouldn't work at all. The snap is certain to work for a very long time. The little compartment for 2 extra 123 batteries is a stroke of genius. It has it's own little flap, and this is secured by Velcro. I also discoverd that this extra little compartment is a *perfect* place to keep an Arc-AAA light. Damn! what a dilemma! It makes getting the Arc-AAA light out for use very fast and convienient. And there is enough room in the little compartment for a Arc-AAA with a lanyard on it; provided it's not too bulky. My Arc-AAA's all have a lanyard made from relatively thin nylon string, which I have dyed a dark grey. (White is an *ugly* color for a lanyard.) Now I want this holster with *two* little compartments!
Anyway, I found this holster to an excellent product that is very well though out, and equally well constructed. I highly recommend it.

The Galls is a great little holster. The only problem I've had with it when carrying a 6P or Asp Taclite is that sometimes, when you sit or bend, the holster can actually "pivot" around the snap, exposing or partly exposing the light. This doesn't happen with the velcro closures, but they do eventually wear out, especially if you apply very firm pressure when closing them.

I've found that you can significantly extend the useful life of velcro-closure nylon holsters by using minimal pressure when closing them, especially when they are new. There is a temptation to close them firmly to make them more secure, but in fact they are extremely "grippy" when new and only require the slightest touch. I've conditioned myself to do this and gotten very long-life results.

By the way, I agree wholeheartedly with Kogatana's assessment of the H.A.L.O. light. In my opinion you would be much better off with other 2X123A lights.

Happy holidays to all
