Stopped at Walgreens today and just HAD to check out what they had in flashlights (SIGH!).

Eveready "Find Me" light 2D. Comes with Energizers. Has a faceted reflector. I was blown away by the beam right out of the package! Nice and tight (but a bit artifacty) with minimum corona. PERFECTLY centered. Slick plastic body (See thru) and non momentary switch. Normally $7.99 there (I would almost swear it's $8.99 at Wallyworld) with an instant $1 off coupon. One could do a LOT worse for $6.99!!!

I have seen these popping up all over the place. A shame for the poor winky blinky flashlight company! Who is installing a similar (I guess--still havent seen an actual photo) circut in Eveready indistrial yellow lights--basically the same light only in a tough yellow body.

I saw those at Wal-Mart. They made it almost twice as large as I'd prefer a 2D (already big) flashlight to be. Too bulky and heavy for me. Have you tried any of the Rayovac Industrial lights? (Sturdy yellow case, 2D, fully faceted reflector)

I bought one of these for $3.99 on clearance at walmart. It is pretty light duty construction, but throws a tight beam a pretty long ways. The led lights up very well and makes it very easy to find.

I was tempted to make it into a 3-C cell and put an LED cluster bulb in it, but then i got worried that I would burn out the little red blinker so I gave up the idea.
