Just wanted to touch base and reaffirm the affection these flashlights deserve from some of us.

Nights when I’m thinking it’s better to have more throw I’ll bring a dedomed 519A compact thrower, but hoo dawg this QT-L has good hand feel with the ability to turn the right amount of light.

80% of the nightly dog walks it gets used. Still wishing a Nichia thrower LED could get into one of these (719A?)

26650 Lumenite provides ceiling bounce every night before slumber.

was fortunate to snag a mint QT-L recently and i did swapped it w/ xhp50.3 hd, the beam is not the greatest compared to stock 351d and the sst40 I've trsted but im after the output and i add some gitd gaskets.

We are rolling all our lights into a big drop that *should* go live next week. It will include all QT series lights in aluminum, brass, and stainless steel (see photo at the end for details).

So glad to hear you're making your new-to-you light your own! The folks in this thread are a treasure trove of knowledge about modifying all our lights, so feel free to ask (sorry y'all, but I've still never dedomed anything on purpose).

Here's a photo of the newest version of the QT series, the QT-SS!! Yes, it's finally happening, and it's BEAUTIFUL. We have saved up all the lights for this drop, so I'm cautiously optimistic about everyone getting a chance at one of their own. Edit to add that signups for the in-stock notifications are live for the QT-SS on the site, along with a few more photos. I don't have all the photos loaded yet, but will by next week.

My sweet friend, don't be sad! The new lights function way, waaay better than the old ones (can't remember which one you had, but I think it was the Tiny Nugget. If so, you'll be shocked at the difference.).

I never had any sort of a problem with functionality. My light was great as is but I’d definitely take improvements! I’m just glad to see that you all are doing well honestly. Gotta respect a small business that really takes in customer input.

It comes with SST-20 but these have a maximum drive current of 2A? 18650 batteries have 10A to 30A outputs. Would direct drive smoke the emitter before SS housing feels hot?

What kind of SST-20 does it come with? CRI? Color temp?
