I received the slide box with my recent order. Frankly I don't think it makes any difference which box you folks select as your standard: I recommend going with whichever version is most cost effective and easiest to manage. Writing from a self-interested perspective, I want you to stay focused on the lights. The wooden box is a nice touch, however the choice of standard top-open or nifty slide-open is of no importance to me whatsoever. (The wooden box is unique, though, I gotta' admit.)
Alrighty, y'all talked me into it - we're doing both and you can personalize them!! Can you tell I seriously love the new laser cutter?! Old boxes will still be in effect for a couple more drops, so things will be random at best on that front for a bit.
MD, glad you like her!! I think the Lumenite II's are my favorite so far, they're really a big step up in my book.
We just got rid of the last snow, and tomorrow the high is supposed to be 29°F. I am not living close enough to the equator. Hope all y'all are doing well where you're at out there!!

The Lumenite II is absolutely up there with my favorite light. Big and bright and bombproof.
