From the "What were they thinking file?!?"

I was at Home Depot one day and they did the same thing with zip ties. The sign read "Zip ties ***. sizes". Those must have been some pretty large zip ties.
Another illustration of what I had been saying for years now:
"The world is just getting stupider, and stupider, and stupider."

Maybe aliens are making us all stupider so they can take over more easily 🙂

Naw! They just watch us out of morbid curiosity.
Here we have a hooman, testing out the effectiveness of an Older mousetrap design. Notice how the creature uses its finger.... instead of a pencil.

Stupid is as stupid does, such as grasping at a single stalk of straw while ignoring the gloriously cut field. :yellowlaugh:

Stop it. Get help!

Yeah. I'm quite sure all the impacted farmers like Skylar now holding the bag would certainly agree with your "gloriously cut field" analogy. 😵‍💫

It's ok though. Neither you nor I are impacted by things like that . Your guy is focused on helping you and I out with the important stuff like signing executive orders to do away with paper straws and constitutionally protected birthright citizenship.

Pat yourself on the back.

Meanwhile, MAGA folks like Skylar are wondering what the hell they were thinking in November. Stupid IS as stupid does. It's only taken him three months to realize this…

Oh please spare us your false righteous indignation. You don't give 💩 💩 about Skylar. You just want to rant about anything you think makes POTUS Trump look bad. Your willingness to ignore the good being accomplished shows your biases. Any undertaking this monumental will need to be fine-tuned. Do you think the last four years under the "Biden" Administration were good for the citizens of the USA? Tell us how many illegal aliens you have living in your home.

"Tell us how many illegal aliens you have living in your home." I have none. But I have had what would be considered otherwise homeless in my house. I'll bet our compadre hasn't even done that for his fellow man. I usually don't brag, but there're times one needs to toot his own horn to make a point.

I have lived on the streets ... since I was 12yrs old til my mid 20s. I know what it is like to live out of a trash can. I know/knew illegals then and now. One was named Miguel. He was a kind individual. He invited my into the place his 'family' was staying so that I could rest for a bit. There were about 2 dozen ppl staying there. crazy

One day Miguel came running into the appt and said "I need to leave NOW" - It turned out that very nice person had murdered another homeless person for ...reasons..

I never saw him after that...I left that apt and stayed in a friend's van.

We don't need 'nice' ppl here illegally.

Who said I give a poop about Skylar? This is the “what were they thinking” thread, and he’s just another MAGA that has come to the realization that he was wrong in November. I don’t THINK the president’s decision to withhold payments from the conservation program (among other farm aid programs) makes him look bad. I KNOW it makes him look bad. Just like the other two executive decisions, he signed - and you didn’t comment on - makes him look bad. Plastic straws? Constitutionally protected birthright citizenship?

Care to comment on your boy pausing the enforcement of bribery on companies to earn business? That would be the “Pausing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Enforcement to Further American Economic and National Security” executive order he signed yesterday. I’ll wait - or keep reminding you when you don’t answer.

Stop using strawman arguments to take away from the truths that I have posted for you.

Let me know when grocery prices come down over there on the west coast. They were supposed to start coming down on “Day One.” Remember? Or have you conveniently forgot or come up with some sort of other anecdote to tell yourself and your friends as to why the truth isn’t actually the truth?

Your numbers are a bit off ...75% said T is the winner, and the others are crying now. You are crying now. You are trolling because you suk Jo's and the socialist's wanker.

deal with it homie. The swamp is getting drained and you don't like it. wah wah wah sad trombone

can hardly wait to see you bant

Number don't lie mate. 3/4 of a million FBI agents back T - and that is with him slapping them
1 billion $ per day are being saved in just 2 weeks. How is that?

Crawl back under your bridge troll before you ICE finds you

I’ll go back under the bridge while you go back to school and relearn about general typing and speaking in English.

Mate.

Neither you nor your buddy from the northwest have even bothered to answer anything about any of the executive orders I posted about. Nor have you answered anything about the MAGAtards that now realize they didn’t know “what they were thinking” when they voted in November.

How are grocery prices for you? Have they been going down since “Day One” where you are?

Mate.

Should bribery be legal to make business decisions?

Mate.

I heard an exasperated and slightly dissappointed David Attenborough voice while reading this...

"The realization of its stupidity slowly registers on its face as the trap snaps shut, once again reinforcing the old adage, survival of the fittest. As unlikely as it is, if it ever produces offspring, perhaps the stupidity will not be hereditary."

I'll be the biggerest person here and say go do something about it, because my fatass ain't gettin off this couch.

It's not hard to see that what President Trump is doing isn't very humanitarian, but he did say he was going to get asses in gear and focus on America first. If the issues are laziness and government reliance that stems from that, the unfortunately drastic steps that he's taking will weed out the lazy from the willing to work, and objectively, innocent people (i.e. those citizens who actually legally and necessarily need aid and resources) will get caught in the middle of that.

I'm by no means apathetic to the illegal immigrants, it sucks to try and flee from somewhere that the people are oppressing you. However, at the end of the day, as a politician, are your actions ultimately for your constituents, for all the citizens, or for anyone living within the borders of the country you are charged with the security and welfare of?

If you can't even help your own, why would you neglect your own to help everyone else first when theyre clearly hostile to you? POLITICALLY, you have to be an objective bully. HUMANLY, you must be objectively compassionate. See how that doesn't work out?

There's a whole lot more than a single stalk of straw, and that cut field isn't looking so glorious to everyone. Do we want to go down that rabbit hole? Would be a shame to see the thread get shut down.

Nothing personal @Chauncey Gardener, but if you're going to post so many things mocking the political left, you should be able to give @wacbzz a pass.

1979 ~ Dad got kicked out of Communist Russia for the high crime of telling a neighbor, in public, that he felt the government could be doing a better job of taking care of its people, than it had been doing. Someone overheard him, and turned him in. It wasn't the first time dad made the mistake of thinking he could say whatever he wanted. Previously having been locked up for 15 years in a Hell-hole of a prison. They failed to break him. So, when he did it again, they wanted the worst punishment they could inflict on him. His "crime" wasn't severe enough for him to be shot. So, they found out he came from a very large extended family. They kicked him out! Mom and I (4 years-old at the time) went with him.

First we ended up in Rome. What little money we had went towards food and a cheap place to stay. I have zero memories of my time there. But am grateful to those in power in Rome, for letting us in while our Visas were being processed to enter America. We made it. Took awhile. A lot of struggle on my parents' part. Dad managed to get a city job here in NYC. Things got a lot better.

Point is, we entered America legally. Had enough respect for this country to do so. We weren't immigrants. We were refugees. And, that's a lot worse. Dad loved America! He loved American cars, especially GM vehicles. And, no way in Hell would he have disrespected this great nation by sneaking in illegally like some miserable thief in the night.

I graduated high school in 1977. I thought that I would not live to graduate, thought the USSR and the USA would nuke each other. Carter had so weakened and demoralized the US military. IIRC, there were military families that got welfare, because the military service member was paid so poorly. Then I got to vote for Ronald Reagan my first election! He and his SDI, Strategic Defense Initiative, or Star Wars as the media dubbed it, got the USSR to spend itself to the point that Gorbachev did not respond to the fall of the Berlin Wall. It cost Gorbachev his position, though, but it lead to the breakup of the USSR. At least, that is the way I remember it.

I'm glad that you and your family were able to get away and make it to the USA. I'm really glad that we both didn't end up getting nuked!

Oh, by the way, I got to see Nikita Khrushchev's son in person. He came to the Eisenhower Center in Abilene, KS back in the early 2000's, maybe about 2004? I went to see him speak. I didn't know what he looked like. I ended up sitting down one chair away from him on the front row before he was introduced! Afterward, when everyone left the room, I was only an arm's length away from him--I could have reached out and touched him. Strange how things change. Then I was on the campus of Kansas State University when Gorbachev came and spoke. I watched on video as I recall, in another building, as the hall that he spoke in was too full of people. Again, that was amazing.

Hindsight being 20/20, yes, I admit you're right. I should've been able to give wacbzz a pass. Thank you for the gentle correction.

@Chauncey Gardener, very clever what you did with your signature:clap:

If you want to start talking politics on this thread, I can oblige. It might get shut down though. Are you ok with that?

I'm not bothered by the dog pile, but Mr. Ed might be.

The thread probably means more to you than me, so your call. LMK.
