Hi everybody,
This is for you 14500 users only!!
I have here an Arc AA modded with a Lux III TWOK
direct drive with a resistor to run at 80-100ma.
It only takes a single 14500 Li-ion 14500 AA's
(so no other cell will work - please do not ask!
No alkaine, nicad, nimh AA's will work!)
I underdrove it for longetivity. It runs 8-10 hours
and much longer in dim state.
I polished the reflector to a mirror finish. And added a
little glow around the emitter. (glow is actually green and
not blue something went funny with the digicam)
I did this a while back and used it mainly as a long running
emergency light and also as a li-ion 14500 battery holder.
It worked out really nice during the ice storm here in the
south east. It sits nicely on top of a door trim and likes up
a whole room at night /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Here are some pictures for ya /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
