Got it today! Swapped a normal lens on for now (I'm a throw freak). It's impressive and lights up stuff that 390nm 5mm lights don't excite!! Excites things just as well or better than my 380nm 5mm light! (It's either the raw power or it's doing 380nm too) Thanks for the batteries if they were indeed meant to be included!!!!!

Really neat purple epoxy. I take it you filed down the centering stuff on the o-sink to mount the cree? I'm thinking of building a light with the new XR-E now...

Batteries were meant to be included. And yep, I dremeled down the cetering walls on the o-sink to mount the cree. Pretty easy as it only took about 15 seconds.

I was thinking bare meant it needs extra parts. Wasn't thinking that bare meant raw aluminum)
