Feb 8 Updated: Still busy on company work. I'm still slow in response of mail/PM. But I usually ship your order in 2 days when I get PP notice mail. BTW, Feb 12~21 will be long Chinese New Year holidays and the Post Office will be closed. I'll stop shipping at that period. Thanks.

Dec. 20 Updated: Just Check X'mas and New Year Surprise if you're interested. :santa:

Nov.17 Updated: 6th batch ready. I reserved some and will PM who posted interests. I'm still busy those days. Shipping may be delayed one or two days after I receive your payment. Thanks.

For sale: custom made forward-clicky switch for Surefire 6P/G2 and similar.

I didn't have many SF tailcap to test. My friend told me it fits P/G/C/Z tailcap and L5/L6/M2/M3/M4. The clicky feel is similar to SF clicky. Switch is rated 3A max, please make sure your application won't exceed the limit. Switch manufacturer said over-current for extended period will cause the internal spring to deform and damaged the switch permanently.

Each set comes with one switch and one rubber cap. The retaining ring is made from brass. The switch is forward-clicky type, half press to momentary on and full click to constant on.

I have 12 sets available now. (As of post #62, 2010-02-07)
Price: US$15.5 each
Shipping: US$2.5 for first one, add $0.5 for each additional.

They will be shipped worldwide via registered airmail. Trackable but not insured. Shipping with insurance is optional at buyer's expense. I couldn't be responsible for item lost or damage in transit if not insured. If you want insurance, please let me know your country and I'll figure out if it's available and the additional charge.

Here's the install instruction:
SFSW-Install-01.jpg

1. Prepare your tailcap (G2 for example) and the switch
2. Pull out the spring first.
3. Use plier to pull out the core.
4. Use plier or tweezer to unscrew the retaining ring. (some tailcap is glued). Take out the retaining ring and original rubber cap.
5. Put the new rubber cap in the tailcap
6. Use needle point piler or tweezer to screw tight the retaining ring.

If it's hex screw (not rivet) in your tailcap. You could use a plier(or extension tube) to hold the core and unscrew it with a hex wrench. The thread is seperate in two sections. Install the new switch and screw the retaining ring further, it'll still works.

If your tailcap is old type with large rubber cap. The switch won't work!

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME,.........what is the difference between a "forward" clicky and a "reverse" clicky................thx.

You'd think I'd know something about flashlights by now.

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME,.........what is the difference between a "forward" clicky and a "reverse" clicky................thx.

You'd think I'd know something about flashlights by now.
Forward clicky: when you've pressed the button half way the light turns on. If you release it at this point the light turns off. If you press further (when you hear the click) then release it the light stays on, requiring a second press of the button to turn off.

Reverse clicky: press the button all the way then let go. As the button is released the light turns on. Press it half way and it turns off. If you release it at this point the light turns on again and stays on. If you press it all the way until you hear the click then release it the light remains off.

The main difference is if you are signalling with your light. With a reverse clicky it's more difficult as you have to turn the light on, first, then press it part way to turn it off to start your signalling and you are releasing to turn it on, which is the reverse of the way most people think so it will take some practice to get right.

BTW, I've reserved two and I will be PPing for them tomorrow. If they're gone by then I will just pick them up at the next round.
