Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

I got the PP. Thanks. What UI would you like?

Its probly going to be 10 days or so before I can ship it. The drivers on these are made from scratch so I am waiting on more components for them to arrive.

Sport UI would be great! Please let me know when you have tracking. Thanks VoB!

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

XHP-70 5000k received. Running it in a Oveready TL100 with McClicky and Cryos cooling head with 18500 IMR x 2. WOW!!! It's like someone turned on the sun. Light EVERYWHERE! When compared to my Oveready triple XPG2 cool white running 2 x 18500 protected cells, it is definitely over all MUCH brighter. I love the tint too. The Oveready triple obviously throws better with a more focused beam, but the VOB drop in puts out way more light overall. After ten minutes of playing, I'm def impressed and glad I ordered one. The 9P size is perfect I think.

And by the way VOB... really nice touch with the pamphlet. Thanks brother for making such an awesome drop in. I pray that you continue to have nothing but the best in your continued business.

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

Matt, Loving my drop in. Many thanks. Would the sport UI with ramping have a lower low than the Guppy? Thanks and if so I want a 5000K Sport UI with Ramping. ...Robert. OOOPS Forgot to say 5000k Mt-g2

Any idea what the runtime on 40% would be with 2 x 18500 cells? AND I assume on high, this drop in runs DD? Lastly, are there any plans to offer these emitters in a Maglite drop in or a larger platform with a larger reflector?

thanks

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

The formula for the runtime would be something to the effect of this. Assuming your cells are 1100ma. Max drive current is about 6000ma so 6000 x .40= 2400ma draw current. 1100/2400= .45 hours (27 minutes).

This is a very loose translation for a few reasons. Number one being that yes, the circuit is direct drive, so on max the current will range in each dropin from about 5.87A clear up to about 7.5A. The numbers I stated above also do not account for what the drive current is once the over voltage wears off the cells. So 27 min is probly a somewhat conservative estimate.

As far as putting these in semi production items like maglites or Mag dropins. Eventually I probly will. At the moment I have my hands full with many projects though :)

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

Thanks much for your calculations on this. That gives me at least an idea of what to expect. If u ever get these the into a bigger format, i.e. a Maglite, I'll be the first in line. I was just thinking that a larger and deeper reflector might offer even more light down range. Anyway, thanks for an awesome product!

Anybody have beam shots of the XHP70?

I believe these are all of the XHP-70 :)

Got my xhp-70 in yesterday and WOW!! This one led is brighter than every other light I own including quads and everything else. Perfect fit and finish and awesome communication throughout! Here's some beam shots (more like night and day!)

Surefire p2x (500 lumen)

Someone asked if 40% would be good enough for using it around in a work area. I can't image using 40% anywhere but outside, it's really quite right. 1% works for walking in a totally dark area, seeing a good 6-7 feet ahead. It's an impressive module.

Hi All... i got the ok to post this from VofB. I have both of these dropins and find them equally amazing. I don't need 2 as i have just one host. Contact me if you'd like one of them. sj

I realize this is not a dropin, but I though you might want to know I am going to offer a built light with this emitter.

Why not just post in in the Market Place? Youre sales thread would receive a lot more potential buyers.

gsteve,

What Chance said. What I meant was is that you put a link to this thread in your sale so that the new buyer will have it for warranty purpose. I am not upset that you posted here or anything, but a moderator seeing your post would likely advise you to do the same. :) Thanks again.

Matt, I think you missed this. Thanks

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

My bad, I guess I did. I will have to double check that, I have not tested the current on the minimum settings. Do you have a particular level in mind? Like as in do you want to be able to look directly at the emitter low?

Yes Matt. It would be cool to have Low like that. Thanks
