Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

Paypal sent for #20 Copper P60.
MT-G2 5000K with Sport UI preset to group 1 with extra spring. Thank you.

Danny70, your bulb and extra spring will ship in the morning.

As of this post I have a total of 5 bulbs remaining.
2 are XHP-70 5700K.
2 of them are blanks that can be made with any of the options.
One is an XML2 U3 prototype with the guppy2drv for a single cell ( price for the XML2 unit is $95)

What is listed above is all I have left of this batch.

Hi Matt.

Well, my module (MT-G2 5000k) eventually arrived. Collected it yesterday from the PO. Been experiencing huge delays due to ongoing strike action.
What an amazing module! Excellent build quality. Absolutely fantastic function and a really nice tint. I couldn't be happier!
Thank you also for the inspirational booklet. Unexpected but much appreciated.

Thanks again Matt!
Next I have one of the XHP-70 modules on my list...

And just something on a "lighter" note...

Matt indicated the contents of the package as LED Bulb. Guess what the SA Customs listed this as...?

Gotta love Africa...

VOB, do you sell the reflector and copper slug by themsleves? Just curious as I have your Xhp70, but the reflector got damaged and I would also like to have an rxtra copper slug/pill?

thanks

Hi Grahambo,

I could send you a reflector for you existing bulb as a warranty item, or you could send to to me and I will replace it for you.

I don't normally sell the slugs empty but I do have one left that is not built I could sell. Cost for the slug is $38. An additional reflector for use with XML2 would be $3.85. A reflector bored and resized for either XHP70 or MT-G2 would be $13

awesome ill take a bored/resized XHP70 reflector and the slug. I dont think your warranty should have to cover my damaged reflector.
XHp70 reflector - $13
copper slug - $38

total - $51 correct?

I will paypal funds as soon as I have confirmation. Thanks.

Hi Matt, I have the MT-G2 5000k drop-in. Is it normal for the drop-in to emit whining tone? It kicks in half way through towards high on the sport UI.

Hi Danny,

All drivers that use PWM for dimming do have the potential for that whine. However I typically have not noticed much of it using the FET driver unless other factors are contributing. For example I have noticed it seems to be effected if a high resistance switch is in play, or substandard batteries. Basically anything that can "starve the driver".

If what your hearing is an obnoxious noise the driver itself may be at fault. When I test these before shipment I really only test them to see if the modes work correctly and then check the current max so I probly would not have caught the sound in that.

If you like you can also send it back and I will replace the driver as a warranty part.
