I have a Fuji S5100, and I've been wondering if any one has experience with it and using Ni-Mh's with it. It's supposed to be compatible with Ni-Mh's, but I'm not sure if it will be, since it's complaining about low battery when alkalines hit 1.4 volts (brand new ones, even!). I'm going to be buying 2 AC adapters, and gutting one of them to make my own external battery pack (4 or 5x 12Ah D-cell Ni-Mh's, to get a long runtime)

Also, what Ni-Mh's should I buy, if it does end up working fine with them? I've been considering Sanyo's Eneloops, because people have great success with using those in their flashlights, so I assume they will be great in the camera.

Thanks,
Brian

I use the radio shack 15 minute rechargeables with my Fuji S1000 with no issues. it uses 4 AA NiMH and gives me decent battery life. Unfortunately eneloops are an online option only out in the sticks where I live so I cannot give any feed back on their use.
