My only beef is I can't carry without locking out due to the too the soft press electronic switch.

You should do the very simple o-ring mod to the switch.

I did that mod to most of my FW3 lights. On the one with the stiffest switch it now requires nearly 5 pounds of pressure to activate. I could stand a BLF GT on the switch and it wouldn't trigger. Definitely no risk of accidental activation.

Would you mind sharing the details on how to do this?

Disassemble the tail cap, if it has a retaining ring you can remove it with snap ring plyers or the end of a binder clip. I used the binder clip because that's what I had.

It should look something like this when done.

Remove the little "nub" (as some people call it) from the center of the rubber part of the button and replace it with the o-ring. It should look like this.

Reassemble everything without the "nub".

I forget what size the o-ring is but I've heard the o-ring from inside of the valve caps on your tires works also.

I don't have any extra o-rings around (I do but too much work to find them)

Re: FW1A from Lumintop

Finally received my copy last month. This one is with XP-L Hi 5000K neutral white. I guess this is a new batch with different reflector and Lumintop also had confirmed it. Overall, I am happy about it, although it was not the same copy with the reviews I saw.

I think I just save it here as a rememberance
