FYI... Energizer LED Head Beam 3AAA is....

GOOD!

It has a significantly better beam than the Garrity 3AAA Head Light!!!

Good for reading, fixing the coffee pot for morning etc.

I'm using the Red LED to type this message! It is also plenty to read or work with.

It also pivots down to exactly where I need light.

A very nice little light!!!

I certainly wish I'd gotten it before wasting cash on the Garrity!!!

I too enjoy this headlamp, great for camping, my only complaint is the pad that rests against your forehead gets a little slick when you are perspiring. But mutch better than the garrity. I agree much better beam.

I looked harder at the Garrity last night.

One thing I notice is that the Energizer puts both LEDs pointing in the same place. A very decent white surrounded by some blue.

The Garrity doesn't focus the LEDs like that. In addition my Garrity has one LED that shines white, and one somewhat blue. Where they overlap is somewhat messy.

I don't really like where ANY headlight actually touches me... But the Energizer bothers me less than all but the little Garrity 2x2032 3LED (which is damn near useless!).

In light output and beam shape:

It CLOBBERS the Garrity 2x2032...
It CREAMS the Garrity 3AAA...
It SLAUGHTERS the Rayovac Clip light 3AAA...
It BETTERS what my Brinkmann Rebel (no lense) puts out...
CLOSE is Optronics Nightblaster 3AAA Headlight...
And better (but a more blue beam) is the light I got at Tommy Tools (3AAA 3LED).

The Streamlight Keymate is pretty decent too.

But the Energizer is damn good!!!

Aha!

A piece of Scotch "Magic" Tape over both LEDs has smoothed it out a LOT! (the Garrity that is!).

Tonight will tell the tale!
