G2 led new colors

You are probably right. I was thinking of the G2.....Anyway they share almost every part except the aluminium bezel and light assembly....

yeah, coz I've always wanted to get the G2L soon but only came in black, then, yellow w/c i kinda like both so i'm in between, but after seeing it in green - there's mine!

I wonder how tough the finish is on the heads of the colored models?
Will it be as tough as the black, and can you actually anodize something yellow? Just a few wondering thoughts...

The -YL, -OD & -TN bezels are powder-coated rather than anodised. SureFire couldn't achieve the colours they wanted.

How well these hold up is something I hope that we can share here over the coming months and years.

Why can't CPF organize and buy a special order of them? I'd prefer a regular G2 if it could be done, most CPF'ers have their own drop-ins anyway.

I'd fully pre-pay if it was organized by a mod. It's only been on my list of NEEDED lights since I first saw a G2.

Rather than expecting CPF to attempt this I suggest you contact your SureFire Dealer because it would need a dealer to do this.
If SureFire were willing to do a special run I suspect the number of units would be rather massive (thousands) and the Dealer would likely have to buy them all.
This would mean a considerable investment for the Dealer and I guess the Dealer would want to ensure they had significant pre-orders or other secured means of getting some quick return on as much of the investment as possible.

In short I don't think it's a realistic expectation for a special colour run of a Nitrolon product.

That said, SureFire do have an orange version of their 618FA shotgun forend for identifying training tools so perhaps they've experimented with orange Nitrolon before?

That part looks like the right color.

Well I certainly couldn't afford even a thousand units. I just thought with the assumed connections of a few CPF members it would have a chance of happening. I can't do a group buy since with my USPS MO only position I could not get enough members to sign up for it.

Now if it was at least possible maybe someone who is both a CPF member and had their own webstore could have a shot at it. An orange G2 sold by say for instance 4sevens on his new site as a CPF edition light would be super cool. Are there any CPF members that are SF dealers, I can't think of any off the top of my head. Now If only 1000 units could be spoken for!

I know it's just a dream.
