I purchased the AN14 extender for my G3 with the intention of using a pair of 17670's and a small spacer. I got everything put together and the light wouldn't power up. I discovered that there is roughly a 2mm gap between the metal sleeves in the G3 body and the AN14, so the circuit can't be completed between the tailcap and the lamp. Is my AN14 defective or am I missing something? I can make a small washer to fit in between the body and the adapter, but I'd rather not add another piece if I don't have to. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I would trim back both ends of the AN14 extender. I grinded down my G2 bezel to fit flush with an LU60 adaptor and its easy.

Just place a 400 to 600 sandpaper on a flat surface. Sand away and check for fitment from time to time.

If you don't want to grind then the spacer is also a good idea.

Get a steel paper clip and bend it in a circle to fit inside the flashlight. Fit it in and you should have a good contact. I did this with my G2, and a CnC spacer, to make it a 9 volt/3 battery light a few years ago. Don't grind anything.

EDIT. Sanded it down and it works great. Didn't like the paperclip idea because of the added resistance.
