Has anyone found any GITD o-rings that will work with the Mule? I'm looking to replace both the window retaining and window seal o-rings. It seems that the ones currently offered are either too big or too small for these applications...:help:

Sorry I can't help you. The GID O-rings are not sized accordingly to the "Dash" numbers. There may be a combo that works and provides the required or desired seal but it's beyond me. You could consider getting a GID O-ring that is snug in the bore of the light below the "working" O-rings.

I found a 3/4"O.D. works on the outside. a little too large, but works. You can see it squishing into the cutouts in the head. I havent been able to find one for the inside. I really like the effect, you can see the glow from the cutouts in the head, coolness... I even made a glow disk out of epoxy and glow powder (not in pic) to cover the base of the emitter. I like it.
hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, I'll try the 3/4" one. I may have found a place here local that may be able to get me different sizes than the ones currently available. I should have more info tomorrow or Monday. I'll post my findings here.

I think I'm going to try a 3/4 for the outside thanks NITEFISH for the info

...but has anyone found ones closer to the original O-rings sizes inside and out, I love the look of the GITD o-ring in my XR-19:popcorn:

Ian :)

I put one in when I got my mule much earlier on. What I noticed was that the GITD o-ring is more stretchable than the original oring. After a while, you can actually see the o-ring spilling out from the openings and it wont look good. Furthermore care when installing as the GITD are soft and easily cut by the sharp titanium edges......I decided to use stock ever since...

Interesting jumpstat, thats a reason I'd love to know if anyone has used one inside as you could keep the OE one outside.

Ian :)

The OE for the one inside is the right size and sits squarely when installed. Using a softer o-ring such as GITD may not provide the proper compression on the window IMO.
