glow paint and auto bulbs

I was thinking of painting the bulbs base/rim, the plastic part, so that way when the lights are turned off at noght the would be a glowing effect. Is the dry paint flammable?

I think there might be too much heat from the headlights.

IcantC is right, you'll roast the glow paint.

You could try painting around the edge of the window on the OUTSIDE. This would be air cooled, right?

I don't think the glow material is affected by the heat, but the paint might be.

I hope I'm not too late with the response here, but I have a bit of personal experience that hopefully someone else can learn from. I did try using glowinc's paint on the base of a regular 55w automotive bulb.

It lasted less than a minute before filling the light assembly with black smoke. I didn't leave the power on long enough to see if it would burst into an open flame, but long enough to say it can't handle that amount of heat.
