I have throughly confused myself, originally I was going to get the Ra Twisty and then I saw a Novatac 85t (at a good price), then I thought maybe I shouldn't spend so much for only my second light, but now I know I want to spend the money, but I am just not sure on what. I have thought of the Ra Clicky, but I don't know how long the wait is going to be and I "need" a new light now. I am looking to spend around $100. I am looking for something that runs on 1xCR123A and has adjustable level that go lower and possible higher than the L1D, I have now.

Thanks
Patrick

Sorry I seem to keep asking this question, but in different ways, but I want to make sure that I invest my money wisely.

Ra EDC Executive is $99.00. In my opinion that is a heck of a lot of value for $99.

Just to throw it out there. The PD20?

More lumens, 1 cr123, reliable.

It can do everything these others can and be cheaper. It can do it well too.

I might get a P2D body to go with my L1D, but I was wanting to try a different brand, nothing wrong with the Fenix though.

The good news is that I don't think you can go wrong with either the RA light OR the NovaTac. Personally I'd add the LiteFlux LF3X into the mix, then sit down and make a list up of pros and cons of each one, then pick one.

If for some reason you're simply not totally thrilled with your new light after a while, then put it up for sale in the B/S/T and try another one. After all, that's half the fun of this hobby, trying lights until you find YOUR perfect light.

Don't forget to figure in the cost of an RCR123 charger/battery combo setup into your budget. Using rechargeable cells makes playing with your new light a LOT more fun...... all those guilt free lumens.

The other thing you might consider is a pocket leash. I got my coiled tether from CPF member greenLED (one end hooks to my light, the other hooks to a split ring on my belt loop, and it means I never worry about losing my 'precious').

Have fun!

I understand that. Fenix updated the L1D with the LD10 and the P2D with the PD20.

Any reason why you "would" still prefer the older models? Out of curiosity.

I got my L1D right when the LD10 came out on the recommendation of a good friend, I know that is not a really good reason, I am very please with the light though.

I see. Nothing beats real world experience.

It sounds like the new Clicky's should be on their way to the respective dealers any day now. If I was you, I would order the Clicky and just tuff it out. You know it's the light you really want, so don't short yourself. You have done a lot of research and heard a lot of opinions, and you made your choice with the Ra Clicky. If you don't order now, you will always regreat not buying one in the first place.

Order that dang Clicky already!

Congrats on the Clicky purchase! :twothumbs You won't be sorry once you play with it, they really are amazing pieces of work! My Clicky is my favorite light by a long shot, it goes everywhere with me.

Which model did you purchase? Just curious....

Ah yes...... great choice. I'm sure you will dig your new light........ and I know it will be worth what little time you will have to wait.

I ended up going with the Ra EDC Executive. My reasoning was that the light was $99 and that what about the max I was wanting to spend for my second "nice" flashlight.

I also ordered a L2D body tube for my L1D that shipped out today so hopefully that will make the wait easier, but I doubt it. I am curious to get that body tube though, because I did something different. I currently own an Olive L1D, but I ordered a Black L2D body tube. I also ordered a Black clicky cover to round out the package. I don't know how it will turn out, but I am hoping for the best.
