If you are okay with led lamps for the colored output, then I would check jameco if you are in the US.

not a very good place to find efficients LEDs...

that stuff is really old..

the one watt rebel is better then besthongkong's five watt prolight...

If it's more about getting the most lumens for your money rather than getting the best and brightest new LEDs for cheap, you would be hard pressed to do better than the Luxeon Vs for sale on ARC Flashlight's closeout page. $2 for a V bin. Not the greatest bin, but underdriven, the Lux V is still pretty efficient, and at $2 I think it might win in lumens per dollar per watt vs a Cree.

lol i smell it too..

isnt luxeon V emitters like over $10 each?

that stuff is totally obsolete now...worst case is i get rebels instead...its less then $3 but pretty hard and fragile.. have to create a method on how to solder then down...

Dealextreme site has been down so I was not sure what you were looking for. I thought you were looking for plain LED's. Be MORE specific on what you are looking for such as Cree, Seoul, Rebel, and what you purpose of using it for.
If you know so much already quit asking for advice...figure it out on your own .

Cree/Edison/Seoul it doesnt really matter for me. efficient and cost effective is what im looking for.

im mixing some cool-white with some Blue leds to make it even "cooler"

if anything i think i'll have to go with rebel...since i can get my hands on some at less then $4. each.
