hi guys just wanna give an update on my long missing in action fenix ld10 (1st gen).

after 3 months plus, the dealer informed me that its finally arrived back into his hands & that i could drop-by the shop to collect it.

after hearing his explanation of what transpired & the reasons for the late return, i finally understand & accept his reasonings.

i am not at liberty to discuss the finer points because it might result in a breach of sensitive information between the parent company & the dealers, but i can say this.

fenix seriously needs to buck up on their customer service especially for their overseas customers.

while i have heard a lot of good things about fenix CS for example 47s great track record especially from the customers themselves (which i do not doubt), the after sales process may not necessarily be that great especially when its not a straightforward linear line of communication for example: fenix hq (china) > 47s > the customer (you).

apparently in my case it was the case of going thru: fenix hq (china) > 3rd party > my dealer > the customer (me).

in my opinion the long & short of it is that if fenix wishes to maintain their customer base satisfaction they gotta improve the communication process so their dealers can inform their customers regarding updates on the repairs/information etc in a timely manner so as not to leave them hanging on a limb, resulting in a frustrating information void which helps no one.

thankfully i had other lights to fallback on so the temporary loss of the ld10 wasn't that painful otherwise i'd be hopping mad.

anyway i got my light back, the flickering issue is apparently solved, so i can finally get closure regarding this issue.

i wanna say a big thank you to my local dealer for helping me resolve this issue, many thanks bro. oh, & i like the nitecore headband too :)

tlg, signing out.

Good news. I didn't realize Fenix needed improvement in their CS. My only dealings have been with 47. Never a problem there.
