Sold/Expired *Gots Parts?* Mini Edc Second Run with P7/MC-E Leds And Backlit Tailcap Button

Great colour on the light, I really enjoy it.

It's bright. I had been thinking about a getting a bike light, but now I think i'll get a headstrap (fenix) and try the mini-edc.

>>what does that chart tell me? That different batteries have different draw. I just feel like i'm not seeing a label or a colum name or otherwise missing something.

Yep. Different batteries have different draw, based on their chemistry and their voltages.

The draw in various modes is not always equal for what the chart in Saberwolf's first post says is, say, the 50% level.

To my eye, the 30% level available in the 5th mode is functionally equivalent to the 50% level in other modes, at a much lower mA draw, making the light more useful as an EDC.

I did not post all of that, since many will use this light in different ways, and most Flashaholics will want to draw their own conclusions.

May do some run times, but my IMRs are new and still need some charge cycles to be fully formed.

I agree, thats how Ive set mine, very happy with those outputs, and as you said runtime becomes much better for edc. Since i put a mild defusser on the lens I really like the beam..I dont really mind the 3 blinks at low, once your used to it,its no worse than flupic latching on to its level.

Yup, More are planned 😎
I dont have a specific date,
But it will be in the near future.
Most likely, End of February :hitit:

Thanks Sabrewolf! Really interested in an MCE running on primaries. Seems time to take my next step into the custom lights now that I have learned a little more since being here.

Make sure you Read Lots around here 😗
It will help you understand all the acronyms
and terms that us crazy flashlight people make up :nana:

Both lights are 22mm Dia, But mine is about 12mm longer.
The drawback to the Zebralight is the very short reflector
they use to focus the XP-E led. That reflector would not
work too well with an MC-E. The beam shape would be
All Flood 🙁 And no throw 😱

Are their any other choices out there that you would like
to see in a production run?

Guess others could be the Amilite Cuty (deep reflector, no clicky or modes though and battery cruncher) or 4Sevens Quark 123 (has the extra length in the reflector, but wanted to see if it could be kept in a smaller package). Fenix PD20+ looks like a possibility. Note: I will flip to send you the lights and whatever else to mod if you were willing to do more than just a standard bunch like if you did all Quarks or Fenix, I would put in for an experimental unit.

I have done my share of modifying lights for CPF members 😗
So i am willing to you a light or 2 from ya as test mules :hitit:
Shoot me a PM, And we can chat more about it.
Or click on my IM links on the top right of my avatar header.

PM sent - sorry for all the dupes, didn't have the setting to save sent PMs and kept looking like it was not sent.

Update - With consistent application of a rat ******* file, the outer edge of a Ledil Boom can be rounded down. Filed almost to the inner reflective surface, the Boom will fit up inside the bezel of the Trustfire HCU-M7. The result is a near perfect beam, lots of spill and generous distribution towards the center. %100 donut free.

I've used my light like this for the past ~5months. It is very nice.
