How do you guys feel about a meet on Thursday August 13? Same starbucks 7/8PM? We can discuss the time.

Eric at 4Sevens just informed me he has the M2XC4 shipment in and asked if I wanted to give it a test run. I figured if he's willing to head downtown we might as well take a look as a group. Plus monkeyboy I need your expertise on the beamshots.

From High Park subway station, take the "Parkview gardens south" exit
Walk west 200m on Bloor
Starbucks is across the road at the corner of bloor st W & ellis park rd.

Is that the Starbucks we met from last year or is it a different one? monkeyboy's directions seem to indicate a different one.
Which side of the street is it on - subway or the park.
Google maps is useless. The arrow points to the park itself.

I have not been to Toronto past the Union Station to Convention Center corridor along Front Street this century except for last years CPF meet. Thinking of spending a day exploring Toronto.
Will have to leave early though to make sure I get home.

Did not come last time as the weather report was iffy, but the 14 day forecast shows the 13th as clear.

It's a different one. This one is much closer to the park. This one is about 100m from High Park subway (Depending on the subway exit).

I doubt I'll be up to much that day so if you're looking for a personal tour guide I could make sure you don't get lost in Toronto.

I should be able to make it on the 13th at that time (but I may fall asleep in Starbucks).

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll wing it this time.

In the olden days the bus goes to the GO terminal 1 block north of Dundas (not there anymore),
I walk 1 block south, go into Eatons (not there anymore),
wander thru the mall, Simpsons, cross the street to the Hudson Bay Co.,
wander back thru the mall on a different level, cross the street to Sam the Record Man (not there anymore),
go up Yonge to Bloor, then across to Honest Eds or up to the Yorkdale mall.
Then its time to catch the subway and head for the GO bus terminal home.

Now the Go bus terminal is at Yonge and Front I believe.
Find my way to the subway inside Union Station,
take the subway to Queen,
?? if I get into Toronto early walk a couple of blocks west to look at Toronto city hall ?? worth it?
wander thru Bay, Simpsons, the mall, and whatever happened to Eatons,
cross the street to Yonge Dundas square,
back to the mall food court for a bite,
catch the subway to the CPF meet,
catch the subway and GO home.

tebore, ackbar, kit, EKL, Centropolis and a sleepy monkeyboy. A reasonable crowd.
Hope I don't forget. I'm kinda absent minded.
 
If I'm free and in the neighbourhood, I might swing by on Thursday. I'm actually looking at the warm ET M2, and if you're bringing one along, Eric, I might have to buy it from you. :devil:

The last meet really got me in the mood for a multi-emitter thrower. 😗

I got a few neutral M2XC4 for all to enjoy. :laughing:
 
I compared the NW and the Cool outdoor in light fog . The Cool definitely has more throw but I like the color rendition of the NW. Both have very good spill.

After the quick comparison, I could not resist a light saber duel with myself - CW in the right hand and NW in the left. I felt a great sense of power....LOL In the end, it was a tie. I didn't loose an arm.🙂

I haven't met a LED flashlight that can blow me away yet. I am impressed with the M2XC4 design but not blown away. Now if the M2XC4 is sized like a Quark 123, it would blow me and many others away.:naughty:

Ok, I don't know what to bring to this meet besides money. I am planning to bring the E2DL because Peter wants to see it I think. Other than that, everything is kind of boring or seen at the last meet.
