Just wanted to show everyone the new paint job, it was a digi-camo but I was getting kinda tired of it. So I used a cheapy air brush gun and had at it, then baked for an hour. I am pretty impressed with the results, so here are some pics. Let me know what you guys think. I'll post a before also just for reference.

You can still see the digi-pattern on the knurling.

And here it is compared to stock black.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I didn't even think of painting that tail cap, I'll try to do that one too. I'll also did my D10 in the same color, just waiting for my slotted/trit piston to come in and I'll post some picks of that too.

and how about the brick of a tail cap?! :faint:

Aircraft, I have never used duracote or cerakote, this is the only time I've used gunkote, I bought for a mini 1911 I recently acquired.

How does GUN-KOTE compare to Cerakote or Duracoat? It sure looks nice with that flat finish!

Ive never seen Guncote or Cerakote in person, but Duracoat makes for a very nice neat job if done by the right person in the right hands, and is quite durable, and can also be baked on. Ive been trying to talk a friend of mine who is very talented with a airbrush into buying some of the Duracoat colors and trying it out, Ive got some guns Id like done. 😗
