Has anyone here ever heard of a Ka-bar limited edition XV or XIV knife?

I just got some Ka-bar tactical limited edition XV and XIV knives from Big 5 Sporting Goods for $13 each, but have no idea of what type of steel the blades are made of. These are 3.5 inch folders with black G-10 handles and half serrated blades. They have liner locks. The XV model is a clip point knife and the XIV is a spear point knife. The spine of the blade matches the thickness of my Spyderco Native III and has a similar (but bigger) hole near the spine for pushing the blade out with the thumb. The only thing that may give me a hint of steel type is that the blade says China on it, which I think rules out VG-10 (Japanese) and S30V (made in the U.S.A.). I know that no matter what, these are a steal for $13 (which is why I got 5). However, I'd like to know what type of steel is used. No literature was included with the knives, and after searching the Internet, all I found was someone on Bladeforums.com asking the same question. Anyone have an idea of steel type? How good or bad of a deal did I really get?

Perhaps a picture would help. Here's the ad from Big 5: http://big5sportinggoods.shoplocal....2534&listingid=-2088056340&pretailerid=-98565
