Has anyone tried the Emisar DA1K? I find no reviews for it. If you have one, or know where a review is, please let me know. Thanks!

Didn't see this until now, the DA1K is great. It runs longer than the others i have and overall it's a direct upgrade to most of the others. I honestly can't think of anything i'd want to change on it to make it better for me.

I don't have one, but have seen beamshots on Reddit. The new one with the new optic released in the last week is supposed to be a bit throwier, but I think its a more all purpose beam, not throwy like a reflector and small die LED would be.

Thanks for the reply. Is the beam a wide/flood?
I got a pretty wide beam with the one i first bought, and i ordered a narrower optic that's somewhat medium which has become my favourite. As Cave Dave mentioned there the new standard for it should be a lot throwier but i'll have to see when i get the new one in a few days.

Yes, please let me know when when it shows up. If you can manage screen shots of the beam, even better.

From the dimensions provided, it doesn't seem like it would be much of an EDC. A bit long and fat for most pockets. I'm still interested in one.

But IF I were to get one of these, I need a suggestion on which LED to pick. I want a warm to neutral tone. Not too orange/yellow. Also, NO purple hue!!

Just got the new one today, the new optic makes for a way narrower beam than before. I should be able to get some good beam shots in a few days, i got it with the NTG50 2700K LED and it's gorgeously rosy.

Does it still have good spill, even though the throw is way narrower? I'll be anxious to see the beam shots. Maybe, if you could, include what you had already, before. If not, that's okay.

As for the "rosy", I know some people really like that! 🙂 I was thinking of the 5000K 70.3 because I have that in another light and it has a nice CRI color.

The spill is still decent, you can still use the spill to look at things if you want to. I'll see what i can do in terms of beam shots, with any luck they'll make it justice.

Guys!! SOS. You gotta help!! It's in the cart, and all I have to do is click the Paypal!!! But it's just another light that I DO NOT NEED!!!! 😬

Do it, do it, do it!!
Sorry, we only facilitate and enable here.

Best I can offer is if you don't buy it, I will.
I got a Dark Grey DA1K, SFT-70 3000K with a wide angle optic ready to buy.

I have returned with pictures of beamshots. They don't really do it justice and it was clearer in reality, but what can you expect from cameras?

1503 RED is the new one with the NTG50 and new optic, 1504 BLACK is the one i already had before with XHP70.3 HI 4000K 90CRI.

Top is RED, bottom is BLACK.

Regarding a review, I found one.

Thank you, LRJ88. I placed an order for the 70.3 4000K. I suspect it will have the new optic. I think it will be a great overall beam!

PaladinNO, thanks for the link!

I'll post pics of the selection I made, colors, and what-not.
