HDS 2700k, 3000k, 3500k, and 4000k LAST HDS GROUP BUY

Candle Power Flashlight Forum

Help Support CPF:

Got my 3500k today as well...got a chance to walk about outside in the dark and around the house. First impression is fantastic. Love the warmth. Very easy on the eyes in total darkness. Tint is a creamy-golden color. Very pleasing. Matches nicely with the house lighting (some Incan but mostly warm LED fixtures). I’ll use it exclusive of all others for a while and get more impressions but so far it’s love at first sight!

How did you like it? I liked it at first. It’s just gotten better! The 4K Nichia 219b is such a beautiful light with a color that’s so pleasing. It may be perfect, but the warm 2700 is so pleasing and comforting. I kept looking at things with both of them. Eventually started only using one. Incan equivalent is soooooo nice.

How did you like it?
How is everyone who got a 2700k enjoying it?

I love it and I’m never letting anyone near it!
Before HDS and CPF I couldn’t care less for color temp, I just wanted bright and white. Now that I’ve experienced many of the different lights CPF has made me aware of, color temp is fairly important to me. I now like them warm and use cool only when necessary.
First time I saw the 2700k interest thread I was 100% in, then I saw is morph into other color temps and it worried me a little, but Hogo came through in a huge way!
Incandescent like HDS Rotary is, for me, absolutely brilliant and my favorite light.

I have three lights now that cover all my bases, hopefully I can keep it at that.... doubt it.

4500k XPL BOSS - Main Work Light
4000k 219C BOSS Ti - EDC
2700k HDS Rotary - (Grail) Home/Shop Light

2700k is very nice, but i don't think it would be my most used. I think 3900-4500k would be my most used. Although i haven't used the 2700k outside either, mainly inside around the house.
2700k candle mode is the best though, most realistic.

All of the temps have their own place in my opinion and are all great

I'm kinda like you. I absolutly love it but started getting worried once all the other color temps were added to the group buy. I'm happy with the choice I made!

I also have a Boss, but its in XPL redome 4500k. In addition to that, I have a HDS in both XP-G2 and 219b 4000k. Finally, I have a Haiku in 119v which I think is 4600k. The 2700k fits nicely into the group I have.

Candle mode is the best! You do need to take it outside though...I think its a great tint and very pleasing to the eye!

Yesterday I was at the postoffice and got my 5 HDS lights after I paid the customs duty. The customs Duty was at least a 6th HDS  (I was knowing that and it was ok - this only to prevent misunderstandings).

The good part:
- The HDS 2700k, 3000k, 3500k, and 4000k are great love them all :twothumbs
- The HDS 300 Lumens 3900K XP-L light color is also nice, very similar to the 4000K XP-L from Hogos 4000K XP-L run 😎

The bad part:
- The HDS 300 Lumens 3900K XP-L was ordered with silver bezel, came with black one

Seems I should have ordered the 3900K XP-L HDS with black bezel.... :hahaha: ... even if the plan was having silver bezels on the XP-L HDS lights.

Maybe I have time and I make a comparsion shot or all 219C HiCRI HDS I have from 2700-5700 and the XP-L versions I have... Guess it is interesting for all to have this compare of light temperatures.

Drop me a note. Might be willing to swap bezels. [emoji6]

And hope you have the time for some comparisons!

I promised a compare shot. But first I'd like to tease Hogo 😀

The L5D2V4 light is the Rotary on the Right. Has a dark silver bezel :hahaha: but no Panic everything is fine. A dark silver bezel is fine to me. I need to search in my flashlight parts box. I'd say I have a silver bezel. When I got my 219A Rotary I bought an additional black bezel, therefore there should be a bezel left…

Now my big HDS Color compare. Unfortunately the Surefire M3 3 CR123 that were not Fresh anymore 🙁 When I have my Ultra High CRI HDS I will take more time for a better compare. 🙂

Typos removed, Image corrected (XP-G2 has 250lumens...)

Sorry about the bezel. We literally just shipped a couple hundred lights over the last few weeks.

That is one nice collection and great photo!

At all no Problem with the bezel.

The 4 warm HDS Lights are great.
The Surefire M3 is somewhere between the 3k and 3.5K. Unfortunately this can not be seen that great on my Picture due the 3 CR123 are running low. Need to look for my CR123's.
