Thanks for the pics Hogo!

I'm still a little confused on how this works though. Say I have the clip installed in the tail. The dial is set at the lowest setting, and I want to turn it to high. But since the whole clip spins with the dial I have to hold the light by the bezel just so my hand isn't in the way of the clip moving? That seems like it would get annoying.

This is true, however you can put the clip on the bezel.

Very interesting clip set up. Not your usual thin connection to body. Looks very substantial. Speaking as a flashaholic, it might be worth it.

I'm more of a holster guy... go figure, but I do like that it won't muck up the finish on the light where it attaches. I"m sure over time the clip might wear rubbing on the head of the light, but the clip will also work put on the bezel, then one could clip it to their hat.
I also think everyone in Southern Arizona should thank me for all the rain we are getting. Dang nabit! I need scuba gear to take my new toy out!

Like your new toy! You could probably get by with a snorkel though.

It's an interesting clip design. Very much like what I expected to see in terms of function but the attachment mechanism is more thought out that anything I was able to come up with. I think I'll get one to try out and reserve any speculation on function until that time.

It seems the center screw push the back side of the clip on the tailcap/head and the two outer screws hold the clip on the ring. Nice design, not easy to produce IMHO, now I understand why 54$!

BTW I'm a Clicky guy so no troubles for me w/ clips! :D
Thanks for the pics Hogo and congrats on the toy!

I think bezel-mount is the only viable option for the Rotary.

That said, the clip looks very nicely designed, and I'm actually tempted to get one.

Yes to tensioning mechanism is nice. I was thinking something more along the lines of something like a hose clamp from a car. I just couldn't get past the idea of tightening it from the side. This way of pressuring down is neat as long as it doesn't create too much of a bump.

I suppose, after thinking about it more, that I do need to take back some of my comments about it taking two years to develop this clip. I don't think I took into account the 1-1.5 years where Henry was having production issues just getting his lights made and out the door. I don't think a clip design was necessarily to high on his mind during this time. If his production issues hadn't occurred we probably would've seen this clip to market much sooner. So apologies from me to you Henry for busting your chops a bit much on the timeline.

I think it depends on how you hold the light. If you are holding the body and want to twist the tailcap then it could pose and issue. However, I tend to hold the light such that the tailcap is secured in the center of my palm and I rotate the upper body with my thumb and forefinger. With this type of grip I do not see any concern.

Re: anno rubbing - a simple solution may be to put a small piece of clear heat shrink tubing on the end of the clip to reduce friction and rubbing.

That clip should also work on a belt. . . .

And I'm sure that snorkel is going to come in handy in Arizona.

Dealers should be stocking the clip. All parts and accessories are available to dealers to stock.

Here's a photo of it attached to the bezel.

Here's a photo of one of the highways in Phoenix a week and a half ago (9/8). Could have used the Jeep (it's actually a Ford) with the snorkel there.
