Hogo, can I ask how sharp the edges of the retaining band are? Looks like pretty thin metal but I imagine it would lie quite flush against the light so you don't snag your clothes or fingers on it?

Dealers should be stocking the clip. All parts and accessories are available to dealers to stock.

Here's a photo of one of the highways in Phoenix a week and a half ago (9/8). Could have used the Jeep (it's actually a Ford) with the snorkel there.

a bit off topic, but wow you got some serious flooding

Here's a photo of it attached to the bezel.

That's really not bad at all, and it seems that configuration will work well even with the longer battery tubes. I'm liking the clip more and more... although the price is a bit steep.

No! No! July 3, 2012 I broke 15 bones in a motorcycle accident. Should have died, but I"m a cockroach.
Well, I stick to 4 wheels now... even if can tip over just as easy.

LOL!

Pretty cool surprise! I like it! I admit, I have a nice bike (related to my user name) but spend more time polishing it than riding, at my age the fragility of life becomes increasingly apparent. Will have to think about a jeep!

And I am not a clip guy, actually have removed them from all of my 8 HDS lights, but I like the engineering of the new one and understand the price.

Best,

T

I guess I'm in the minority. I don't really like the look of this at all. I'm sure it's engineered well but it looks clunky on an elegant design. I guess I was hoping for a replacement bezel with drilled holes even though I knew that wasn't the design, but I hope you guys enjoy your clips!

The MOLLE clip that use to come with the older generation lights looks a lot better to me, and that clip was widely regarded as an eye sore. The reintroduction of the screw holes on the bezel seems like such an easy and less expensive fix to the Rotary's clip issue, this new clip seems counter productive, less practical, and unnecessary IMO.

I agree about the screw holes, but too many that didn't use clips complained about the holes. I don't ever see them coming back.

I thought maybe a bezel with a recessed groove to tighten down on a clip as well as contacting the o ring.

Well. It's clever. Quite fugly but well engineered. I guess I'll stick with the alternative. Too bad it's so rare.

Too bad I can't get the Moddoo clip to work bezel down. I've tried your bezel up solution several times and I've just found that I hate bezel up carry - it just doesn't work for me. :(

I like the idea of the clip attached between the bezel and reflector if it was a two way clip. Like the one that attached to the body with screws. Sounds like a good project for Moddoo.

Nice Gunga!

So the thicker glow o-ring helps raise the bezel in order to support the clip?
What size o-ring if you can remember?

Yes. That is correct. It is a glow ring from Sigman. I believe it is 19mm.

You want the clip on the outside or you will screw up the reflector focus.
