One's computer monitor really makes a difference when looking at the photos. My Macbook shows the color difference so much more than my POC (piece of crap) 10 year old t.v. I use as a large monitor hooked up to a Window 7 Dell laptop. All photo's were taken with an iPhone 7, and I have no idea how to set anything on the camera on the phone. I'm just lucky I can use it for email and answer it when it rings.

The iPhone's auto white balance can cause vast tint differences to seem more uniform than in reality.
Great cameras otherwise :)

I'm sure there's a fairly painless way to lock it...
EDIT : actually no, u need to get an app like Camera+ or something with a fixed white balance.

Cool experiment and I've really enjoyed following it :):)

Picked up a rotary !
Has anyone ever changed the o rings to anything else such as Fluorosilicone etc?.
what o rings are already in there ?.
i wouldn't mind a blue Fluorosilicone o ring at the lens.
thanks

I was going to call it the "Double Barrel" but I think I'll call it the "Indecisive", for when you can't decide to bring the 4000K or 5000K HiCRI.

Major pain in the butt to make... but so worth it!
I think I'll call the one that holds four "The Failed 12 Step".

this is what I do when done with school for the semester. Last final today. I guess an old dog can learn new tricks.

Nice work! I've been thinking about a pocket holster like that. Getting sick of pocket clips (lights and knife) scratching up car interiors and furniture among other things.
Also, If you put a headband on it, you have the new HDS headlamp.

Very cool. You can call it the "2=1" :D

So which seems to produce the most faithful rendition of colors compared to outdoors at noon?

Just throwing it out there, got my light back from Henry today after some warranty work for a broken signal wire, and its back to working good as new. Also they replaced the tail cap boot and maybe a couple of the worn o rings. I couldn't be more happy with the no questions asked warranty work, and even going above and beyond by cleaning her up, and replacing some worn pieces. Love this damn light. Its truly brought me home, and now will continue to in my future endeavors.

Definitely the 5000K. The 4000K is like a nice incandescent, but the 5000 is much closer to noon day sun. Not quite perfect noon day sun, but as close as I have seen so far. I love mine!
