Great point emarkd. I also would be interested. Since the ti rotaries are 6 months out, they could be used as a “trial run” for a newer type of software... if we wanted them to have it!

OMG! No! There will be no "trial" anything in the titanium lights. If something went wrong, it would be a YUUGE disaster.

So if the 5700°K is High Noon, and the 5000°K is 3 o'clock, what would the 4500°K be.. 5 o'clock -ish?

I have a 250 XP-G2 filtered with a Lee #162 ******* Amber filter (who names these things?) which comes in at 43-44
00°K, I call it my Pau Hana (finish work) light, might as well call it happy hour, great tint. Seems to be my go-to light most of the time when I have a choice.

Hogo - what do you think you could get the price of the HA NAT down to if the ano wasn’t perfectly matching? A $200+ premium to remove the black dye when cerakote was only something like $50 or so option seems a bit excessive. Frankly, I don’t think most of the people interested in them would care about perfectly matching ano. Since it’s not a stock item and it’d probably be a pre-order for a couple dozen units, if the buyers know ahead and are OK with the color what difference does it make? I’d be game up to about $400 which was the price of the NRA Blue but at $550 for a basic alu HDS I cannot stomach it. Of course I do not speak for anyone else and if others are up for paying that premium for them, then I’d just sit it out.

Holy crap...I'm gone for a few days and i felt like i was a month behind

Someone asked about the new 3900k 300...it's not hicri but its a great light with a great tint
I haven't been able to really check it out or compare to the others but i like it. It's the perfect neutral cree option if you dont like cool white

@hogo, can we go ahead and do the preorder on alum bronze snd naval brass since everyone is low on funds, this will give me the assurance that i can get one of ea.....hahaha

It's too bad you will only be able to do 20 alum bronze as it seems there is already more interest than 20. I will pay right now for 1 of ea:D

Being i was late to the party for the last order, i fear i will miss out on the alum bronze:(

I would prefer alum bronze over brass...but id also like to have both

Did I miss something? Will HA NAT on a standard light run 550 bucks? How can that be if a special run of Bronze
Naval Brass is expected to be $550 and bronze $590. 🤔🤔🤔

Cerakote was $80. I asked Henry about this because I agree with you, but Henry said he would only do it if it matched. He was beaten up too badly in the past over mismatched ano. I'm just guessing on the price right now. I don't know what it will be until we do a test batch.

I not only don’t care about matching ano, but I actually prefer it. Hogo if you mess up the ano on a light please sell it to me... I think that mismatching ano gives it an extra vintage vibe like older surefires....

If you mess up the ano on one... I’ll take it! :) sounds like the price on these will be the lowest out of the bunch. Bring back that Nat HAIII! [emoji106]

Check out the HDS Pix thread for a photo of one of my old Clickies with “purple” anodizing. That looked wonky. I think Natural lends itself more to mismatches looking cool than black does.

Is there any specific reason why Alum bronze over Brass?

I'd just prefer the coloring over brass, I don't really care about the properties like the other guys.

I'd take a copper hds and let it patina, get dinged up, etc. Adds character.

However i like brass too just not as much. I'm just not a fan of shiny, however i know it will patina as well...so pay no attention to what i say.

I just feel bronze or aluminum bronze will look more unique
