Last night I dropped my HDS U60 (ti bezel) on granite tile and broke the UCL window. 😱 Where does one go during these interesting times to replace it? ...preferably an OEM window or better. ...anyone?
...HDSers ...I know your out there, I can hear you breathing.

If you want a stock UCL lens you can order from flashlightlens.com. I ordered two today and the total for two shipped was $11.80.

Thanks for the info. The application chart on flashlightlens.com suggests a 22.8mm UCL lens/window. The Sandwich Shoppe sapphire lens is 22.5mm. Will 22.5 fit the HDS?

I'm appreciating my mostly Incan and HID light collection more and more. Out of about 70 lights, I think 5 of them are LED's which is just fine with me.

do you realize how incredibly small .3 mm is? you wont even notice it.
if it was bigger by .3mm you might have a slight issue but its smaller so no worries.
the sapphire is so awesome you never have to replace it.

If you send Jim an e-mail he will probably tell you how to order one or just send you one for free: [email protected]

Novatac are handling all CS on the EDC models.

I was "lucky" in that when I did the same thing with mine, HDS was still HDS and Jim sent me a polycarb lens for free. Of course, I scratched it wiping dirt off. . . For me, the worst part is that glass dust got on the reflector which would only scratch if wiping were tried :-(
Good luck with your light.

Be very careful with this as the tolerances are VERY close on these lights.
How do I know? I ordered a beamshaper lens for one and it got stuck in there and the only way I could get it out was to break it. Check and make sure nothing is distorted or bent on the body and then test fit the lens, DO NOT force it in. If it doesn't fit slighty deburr the lens edges until it does. Take your time and all should be well. You would be wise to buy a bezel guard as well.

What does that have to do with this thread?
lux is sleep posting again.
LOL!

BTW, sapphire glass is very hard and almost impossible to scratch, but it is possible to break it. A polycarb lens will be more shatter-proof, but of course it scratches up more easily.

I'm laughing too because I honestly have no memory of making that post, nor why I did it in this thread, nor what thread I meant to put it in. I think I had about 5 CPF topic tab windows open at the time.

Anyway.....I guess....never mind then.😳

LL, that is extremely funny! I have now completely forgotten what this thread is supposed to be about! LOL - perhaps it ought to be renamed "The Completely Random Posts Thread" lol
