Welcome to the land of Flashaholics! There are many compacts lights that you could use. Olight, Fenix, Nitecore, Jetbeam. 4Sevens and more. There are so many quality torches to choose from these manufacturers.

I am guessing your looking for edc[every day carry] lights?

Here are a few that I have.

Olight S10 and S20. Olight M22 is a bit bigger but has about 900 lumens and 3 modes. It is around 5 1/2" long.

Fenix PD35 and several other edc lights they make with power and are also compact.

That is a start. if you google the manufacturers I mentioned you can see all the good choices that you have.

Welcome to CPF. You might also be interested in HDS Systems, they have some nice single cell EDC lights up to 250 lumens that are pretty tough.

Depending on where you are flying, obtaining batteries may be a concern, so I am going to recommend something that uses AA. In particular, a 2xAA size will provide more output and runtime, while also being a good size in your hand, with the protruding ends providing a comfortable and useful grip on the light during use. You probably also want to avoid aggressive crenellations to avoid issues with security checkpoints, but something with at least a somewhat protected tail switch would be helpful.

With that in mind, I suggest either the FourSevens QT2A or Klarus XT2A.
