Ok, I have a 60-ohm McE2S switch in my C2/KL3 combo. The KL3 is rated for about 4hrs before dropping from regulation. I remember seeing a graph for a L4 -which is rated 1hr before dropping out- with the same switch getting 9hrs on low. So in my feeble mind, that SHOULD calculate out to 36hrs for the KL3. Now of course theres' "sag" and the protection circuit, so would it be totally unreasonable to expect 30hrs on low?

Also I'm getting the XRE drop in from litemania that runs at 700ma and has a 2hr runtime, which of course I see as 18hrs on low. But in reality I'm hoping for 12-14hrs. Possible?

I do not think one can calculate the low runtime with the McE2S module since there is the driver fighting in vain as well as the Vin of the LED playing a role.
I guess you'd have to try it out if you can't come up with someone who already checked thes specific runtime/resistor combo.

just in case this is of any help to you: my KL6 got about 30hrs of usable output with a 47 ohm resistor. after ~24 hrs I was still able to switch to regulated "high", with low output about equaling the output of a fenix L1P. after 30hrs "low" was about equal to my fenix L0TI on "low", with "high" running about as bright as the L1P. all of this was done on two protected 3,7V RCR123s with a nominal capacity of 650mAH each.
(note that this was not a two-stage McClickie but rather just a resistor, running as a test for a two-stage twist/click Z58 tailcap I have since completed.)
looking at these numbers I don't see any good reason why you shouldn't be able to get more than 30hrs of runtime on "low".
