Help best LED "floodlight" and help with mA\'s

well i have learned alot already and am new to the site. Just got interested in LEDs when i saw a trek in a magazine. Currently the only led light that i have is a photon 2 and a luxeon star pr based bulb for a 3d maglite from ledcorp. I was suprised how well it works, but a little pricy. Money is tight but i am looking for the best LED "floodlight for searching for things in my 20x20 shed that has no electricity to it yet. any suggestions.

Also I have limited electronic experience but am very interested in mods. When I try to measure the mA draw on the luxeon (ledCorp) bulb my Sears multimeter tells me 1.1 amps. not milliamps with the bulb on. when i attach the test leads the bulb goes off and i get the reading Help my poor idiotic soul and tell me what i am doing wrong... i assume that the 1.1amps measurement that i am getting is the total draw from the 3 d cells not the current draw from the bulb.. thanks.

To measure current, you must break into the circuit so that there are three components in the path:

The battery(ies)

The bulb

The multimeter
[/list]

You measure voltage by simply placing the multimeter leads on either side of the bulb or the batteries (same thing, if you think about it). But to measure (milli)amps, you must insert the meter into the circuit. One trick is to put a piece of paper between the battery and the bulb, then touching one lead to each (battery, bulb).

There are some very expert current measurers in the forum who can advise you regarding your specific flashlight.
