Here is a topic that I know is no stranger to CPF, yet despite reading a few threads on the matter I still find myself a bit in the dark. I am looking for a single or double AA flashlight with enough throw for a distance of about 75-100+ feet away. I would be using eneloops. The intended use would be outdoor home and work property inspection, and indoor work-warehouse.
Must be regulated, with a decent run time on max (40mins-1hr+). Neutral white preferred but okay with cool white. Moonmode/low low must.
My current list of suspects: Quark AA2 Turbo, Jetbeam RRT-0 w/AA extender, Jetbeam Jet-I Pro
I am also open to other recommendations. I've read some good things regarding the Javelin, however, and while it probably shouldn't be form over function, it lacks that eye candy for me.
