I took apart a nite ize led mini mag drop in to use more leds on my own board. I have 4 now, will be five, just need one more from home, i soldered them onto my board, and cant get them to light. I can, however, get them to light individually from the back. This leads me to believe that they are not in series. I try to go two at a time, and none worked. I have knowledge of this, i am an electronics tech, but i am stumped. this is how i did it

(+ -) = led
- = solder joint

one lead(+ -) - (+ -) - (+ -) - (+ -) other lead

i cant figure out where i went wrong. They go around in a circle.

they need to be wired in parallel ... all the (+) together and all the (-) together

or for better reference..

+V -V

good luck

If you want to keep the LEDs wired in series, you will have to up the voltage.
1 LED - 3.6V
2 LED - 7.2V
3 LED - 10.8V
etc.

yeah i think that is my problem. I was only giving that 7.5v. When i pull in to san diego later this week, i will end up getting two more 6v batteries and having 18 volts.
