Hi,
My brother purchased these from FIVEMEGA on this forum back in Jan 2010. Can you tell me more about these? Custom made I think??? Right ??? what would you call them and what would they fit ?

Your brother propably bought it here.
Yes, he absolutely bought it from you. There is a sale/sold post on his thread Jan 11 2010, that he 'received' his. He's past on and I inherited his light collection. It was a vast collection, and I am trying to identify some unmarked pieces. Can you please tell me more about these two? Like what are they exactly called, and what would they fit?

"Custom FM M series 2x 18650 body" should do it. This body is compatible with Surefire M3 and KT4 heads and Surefire C series tailcaps.

Sorry to hear about your brother.

These appear to be flashlight bodies. They will need a head (with lamp assembly), batteries, and tail switch to fully function.

According to the sale page, these take Surefire M series heads, C series tail caps.

Hey @carol4rose so sorry to hear about your brother.

As far as what they "are", they're Fivemega Custom Flashlight Bodies. I wouldn't say there's a name or model number.

Can anyone confirm if they're 3 or 4-cell bodies?

Not sure how versed you are on Surefire terminology, but on the end with the small threads, these will accept a Surefire tailcap switch that would also fit a Surefire 6P and similar models. On the large end, they will accept the same head that a Surefire M3/M4/M6 would accept ("M-series" with M standing for "Millennium").

There's a company called Lumens Factory that makes replacement heads and accessories.

I can't tell 100% from the picture, but @fivemega are these M4 length bodies that would take 2 18650's?

If they'll take 2 18650's, you can run them on either of these heads:

For a tailswitch, these and ones with the same thread pattern will fit:
(if it fits a Surefire 6P/M3 or M4, it will fit this light)
Good luck. Any more info we can provide, please let us know.

Thanks soooo much for your reply. I have had a few years learning the 'light' lingo. I would say I am an intermediate now! LOL. They are 2x18650. bodies. I did actually chat with fivemega. Got all the info I needed. And found my brothers purchase order on this forum too !!!

I'm sorry for your loss. We love seeing pics of cool collections from days gone by, if you're inclined. It looks like your bro had good taste in gear!
