I'm 25yo and i'm a young doctor who work in the emergency service (call 118 : 911 in usa )
Sometimes it was necessary to use a flashlight to work... such as in car crash... or... during emergency in the night and unilluminated places...

So since two years ago.. i started to looking for a good flashlight...:

As first i bought: a 3million candle power

Here is my personal recommendation. For your use you want reliability, and illumination quality, with brightness as a secondary concern. A malkoff M61W, in a bored out surefire 6p or a Malkoff MD2 with high/low switch ring (you may need to get the window kit too, I don't think they're included yet). The 6p won't accept 18650's from the factory, there are a few vendors who sell them modified, and some of the chinese lights also accept the malkoff dropin so you could look in that direction too. The MD2 with high/low ring gives extended runtimes at lower output, 40 lumens or so for many hours.

An ultrafire wf-139 lithium ion charger and AW 2600 mah 18650 batteries are the best value power option, and will provide close to 2 hours of light on a single battery at full power. You can also use cr123's if you wish.

For a cheaper option, maybe a 4sevens quark AAx2 or 123x2 tactical in neutral white.

Both lights use neutral white tint Cree XP-G R4 emitters.

Sound like you need a Fenix HP10 headlamp.

If it's for emergencies and the like and you're the doctor, you don't want to be holding a torch while the other hand is trying to keep someones liver from falling out.

My advice would be to get the headlamp and something small and powerful like a Quark 2AA Tactical of Fenix TK20 (bomb proof).

If this is for emergencies, there's a good chance you may lose them in the rush of the crisis, so I wouldn't over invest in just one light, spread it out over a few and remember that 'two is one and one is none'.

Aw... guys... thank you for your help... :)

so

What battery option do you want?
1 battery or 2 batteries?
How big do you want?
How much you want to spend?
The battery number isn't a problem..1,2,3 actually a carry a SolarForce L1200
that is really good as power (but hot) and it isn't a problem :)
How much i want to spend Uhm.... about $65 (€50)

aw... on ebay i found something

http://cgi.ebay.it/1600-Lumens-CREE...pt=Campeggio_Attrezzature&hash=item19bb3add05

WOW 1600 lumens... CREE LED as "apple" say... "it's magical" :D

a friend of mine used it... but.... mmmm during an emergency in the forest... the light... wasn't really powerful...

:) thank you... luckly in the ambulance we are 3 people (driver, a doctor, and a nurse) so the driver takes all instruments :sssh:

Uhm... a last thing...
it could be... great... if mmmm the light could be charged by a car charger
but i suppose it the price... rise up
