help me choose a watch

i just wear my armitron or casio now 5 bucks or so a piece. i get ocd about things then loose interest

Me too.
My problem is, when I lose interest; months or years down the road the interest comes back.

Hard to go wrong with a Casio. The Casio tough solar is a good value. Armitron used to come with a ten year battery. They may still, I don't know.

It's easy to forget that Citizen does indeed make excellent automatic watches too. Though I admit, it's kinda tough to buy one of those when you've got their Eco-Drives sitting right next to them.

I'll take a Miyota 9xxx over an SW200 any day of the week.

I'll take a Miyota 9xxx over an SW200 any day of the week.

Miyota 9xxx movements are great, I love 'em. They are my first choice in sensibly priced automatic movements. But I do enjoy my SW200 watches, as well.

And, I have a good number of NH35/4R36 watches that run quite reliably and with surprisingly good time keeping, too. These are amazingly sensibly priced.

We are living in the golden age of watches these days. (Golden age of a lot of other product categories, as well. Like flashlights and so many other categories.)
