Hi

As this is my first post here first a little of introduction.
I am from Croatia (so my English is not probably as good as you are used to) and this is my first contact with flashlights (except cheap 24 LED junk)

I need a flashlight for my bike mainly but for general use too. I think flood is what I need but some throw would be nice too.
First I ordered some 3 $ ebay bicycle LED light but fortunately it never arrived :)
Than I went to DX and decided to buy some 1X18650 P7 or MC-E light and ordered sku.20392 and sku.13820 as power plant.
Now it is time for a flashlight. I was going for some MTE DX stuff but when I contacted MTE directly they said that DX lights are not authentic (but I can order directly from them).

To make long story little shorter I decided to go with one of these:

Epsilon seems the best one but its head is quite larger than other two so I do not know how it looks on the bike (and is there any bicycle holder for it) and I suppose it is not so pocket friendly as other two.

If you have anything else you can recommend I will listen. Problem is that lots of stuff I see on this forum are hard to get here in Croatia. I will spend 60 $ with S&H and with that budget I am little limited.

Another thing is P7 and its bins. Which one is the best one? Older MTE P7 are not D-bins but are 10$ cheaper than new D-bins (18 vs 28 $).

Thanks in fw

First let me start by saying :welcome:.

Then let me say that I don't actually have any experience with the lights that you're looking at, so i can't comment on that. However, I can help you with your P7 questions. I'll include a chart below, which compares the different P7 bins. If the older MTE P7 you're referring to has a C bin emitter, and the drive current, as well as tint are the same or similar, I don't really think you will notice any difference in brightness with the naked eye. Again, I'm not familiar with the light, so it's up to you to find out if other changes were made besides the luminous flux bin change. If no other changes were made, then it's really up to you if you want to spend the extra $10 or not.

Here's the chart showing the luminous flux of the different bins:

ti-force thanks for that chart

I ordered P71 and will see from there

P.S. I expected more than one reply on this forum but I must admit I am little disappointed :sigh:

Baz, I don't have any of these lights, so can't really comment on it, but I have a Bell bike LED light, (the one seen here: http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_080W442684110001P?vName=Fitness%20&%20Sports&cName=Bikes&Accessories&sName=Lighting%20&%20Reflection&psid=FROOGLE&sid=KDx20070926x00003a)

but it's missing the mount. You may be able to just buy the mount or rig it some-how??? Runs on 3XAAA's, 1,700 lux, 28 hour runtime. Lemme check the cost to ship to Croatia, and if you pay the shipping, it's yours. Shoot me a PM if interested. It was left in an old bunk, and I couldn't leave a light to sit and rot to death, so i grabbed it, but have no use for it.

Oh, and :welcome: BTW

EDIT: Just checked...It'll either be $3.76 (First Class) or $13.45 (Priority). If I CAN ship it first class, I'll do it for free as a goodwill gesture, if you think you can use it. Shoot me a PM, and let me know.
