Help me decide. Lumapower D-Mini or M1?

I have the D-Mini...It's a great light...THe M1 is a bit more powerful and has a nice long runtime. If you can afford the M1...go for it. The smooth reflector will give a 100 meter range and good spill. The Orange peel reflector will give less range..but a wide smooth spot and great spill. If you must have small..the D-mini is great...but remember- these are not indoor lights! Too much power.

+1 on the lights being outdoors-lights... I find the D-Mini to big for pocket-carry, I´d go for the M1.

If you need more than 20-30 minutes runtime, the M1 is the only choice.

My D-mini with AW's new proctected RCR123s can run 39 minutes each

M1 is longer than D-mini, and I use my D-mini indoor and outdoor everyday, I mean night

My d-mini is a bit more powerful than the M1! It is also brighter! and I think it throws a bit further. dont know if it should be this way or not.
They really are outdoors lights! And it is really fun running around outdoors light up the forest and such!
Longer runtime on M1, and according to me more throw with d-mini. it is more pocketfriendly, but the M1 isnt so bad in the pocket either. I starting to agree with the saying here on CPF!....buy both if you got the cash! I did and dont regret it! Really love theese lights! Thinking of having them under my pillow....you never know... :D

I bought both...... M1 from Ricky, and Mini-D from Matt.. Niether have arrived yet....

D-mini is probably better for pocket-carry ... M1 should be
carried on a belt-sheath.

Other than that, from what I've read, they're both similar in
terms of output and throw, but the M1 would obviously
have longer runtime. Then again you could always carry
a spare battery or two.

If both are the Cree models and both have the smooth reflectors the M1 is the most powerful. My D-Mini with the smooth reflector throws 100 yards...too many combinations here...some may have been talking M1 Luxeon?

I'm going with the D-mini but was really undecided for a while between the two. I think the D-mini will be a good introduction, and if things go well, I'd also get the M1. What I really would like is to get the two stage switch when it comes out.

I just like the idea that a one cell light can bring down many bigger lights in terms of brightness/throw....the wow factor.
