At a garage sale this weekend, I picked up a shoe box full of garage junk that included alot of flashlight stuff (old bulbs, LEDs, vintage reflectors, scratched lenses) , mostly trash, but included were 2 26500 batteries and a UltraFire charger. I'd like to put them to good use. My wife wants a light to use at night while walking the dog or getting something from outside. She doesn't like the 2 C ROP Maglite I gave her (won't sit up in the cupboard and is too bright for "Stinky's eyes... the dog not me.)

I would like to put together (LEGO ?) a one X cell that is fairly bright and floody. What can I use for the body/ Is there a shallow turbohead with maybe a 2 1/2 inch or so lens/ tail cap switch ? I appreciate your suggestions.

Fivemega sells a 1 x 26500 body and switch here which has a surefire C head fitting.

There are lots of different options for this but make sure it is compatible with single cell voltage. e.g. Malkoff M31 dropin.

BTW, a large turbohead will give throw not flood.

EDIT: Actually never mind, it's sold out but you could put up a WTB.
